I just wrote a presentation based around this before I bailed out of London Lloyd. There’s also some interesting depth in the sequence of media used. i.e. Phone relationships to real life or email to SMS. Each media (and I include real life as one) has a contextual impact on the previous one or the next.

Marshall McLuhan declared that light was the first media. He might be right.

Has it really been THREE years? Wow!

re. timing… Looks as though I arrive Heathrow ~2 pm, Dec 7. Need to touch base with our London office (housed in the Imperial College, South Kensington Campus). As the office is small and will have but one employee there… I should be complete with the visit quickly. Perhaps there’s time for a earlier meeting?

This stop over just became MUCH better.

Gerald, that’s excellent – I have a prior committment so won’t be at the earlier part of the Scoble/Winer/MacLeod geek-out but hope to join in the wandering about bit later. Will see you there, but I’m also up for meeting earlier in the day.

For the record, we met here almost *3* years ago when you were the first to give encouragement to my feeble faltering steps into podcasting on New Years Eve 2004. So you have a lot to answer for

Lloyd, let’s put this to the test. We’ve known each other’s avatar-selfs for what, two years? I’m in London Dec 7. Hooking up with Hugh, Dave and Scoble. Any chance of seeing if we click better in the flesh or are we running the risk it will ruin our friendship .Warning: I speak as poorly as I type.

why not just erect a massive watercoolercoffeepot in a city square/park/carpark and let the geeks gather around it totem-pole worship-like? “bring your own earbuds” should be the rallying cry..
